I had the handi 35 whelen and sent it back to the factory twice b/c of misfires so I sold it. Second, the 35 Whelen keeps up with the 30-06 really, really well. Using similar bullets, your trajectory is about the same until 400 yards. If you're a '300yds and in' kind of hunter, you will never know the difference.
